Six Degrees of the Cold War in Hollywood

For almost fifty years, the United States and its NATO allies were engaged in a Cold War of political and military tension with the Soviet Union. How was the Cold War portrayed in films?
This class will explore the nature and diversity of Cold War films. Students will view films from a wide variety of cinematic genres and styles, both foreign and domestic, including Dr. No, The Manchurian Candidate, and Dr. Strangelove.
Ages: High School to Adult
Time: 6:00 to 9:00 pm
Location: Oak Room at the Wilsonville Library.
Dates: Sundays & Wednesdays, April 1 - April 18 (6 classes)
Fee: $30 for the series.
