Housing
Wilsonville's housing inventory is diverse in type, age, and price point; the city strives to maintain this healthy mix in order to support its residents, workforce, and businesses.
Villebois
Many are familiar with Wilsonville's Villebois neighborhood. This community is an award-winning, master-planned, walkable community, built at the former site of the Dammasch State Hospital. It was made possible by the creative use of urban renewal/tax increment finance. It remains one of the south metro's most desired neighborhoods, now 20+ years after it broke ground. The final phases of the community are under construction today (2024).
Frog Pond
With Villebois nearly 100% built out, the City is hard at work planning Wilsonville's next great neighborhoods—Frog Pond East and South. Frog Pond West is already under construction. The Master Plan for Frog Pond East and South was adopted by the City Council in December 2022. This long-term plan ensures the development of residences that meet the community’s future needs and provide home-buying opportunities for a broad cross-section of people who wish to live in Wilsonville.
EQUITABLE HOUSING
“It is important to the City of Wilsonville that our community is well-planned. At the forefront of that planning is Middle Housing and Equitable Housing as set forth in the City Council’s unanimously adopted Equitable Housing Strategic Plan.
When we focus on how to implement more affordable housing and a variety of housing types, we are addressing major challenges affecting the region and the City, including housing cost, household changes, and exclusion. By planning to include more housing types, I believe that Wilsonville will build community and economic vitality"
