City Seeking Civic-Minded Residents for Boards and Commissions
October 14, 2025 – The City of Wilsonville is now accepting applications from residents who are interested in serving on the City boards and commissions that provide guidance and oversight of City programs.
The City is seeking to fill 15 seats on five City boards. Members typically attend evening meetings (no more than once a month) and assist in making policy recommendations to the City Council.
Positions to be filled include:
- Six seats on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee
- Two positions reserved for high school students
- Four seats on the Development Review Board
- Two seats on the Planning Commission
- Two seats on the Kitakata Sister City Advisory Board
- One seat on the Budget Committee
Qualified applicants are to be interviewed by Mayor Shawn O’Neil, who recommends appointees for each position to the City Council. All appointments must be approved by a majority vote of the City Council.
Diversity within the City’s Boards and Commissions is critical to ensure that City policies and programs serve people of every race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion and ability. People of all races, genders, ages and nationalities are encouraged to apply.
The deadline to apply is Oct.30. Applications are available online at wilsonvilleoregon.gov/boardsapp and may be submitted electronically, by mail, or in person at City Hall.
