My Time

Volunteers are an invaluable presence at the Wilsonville Public Library. We rely on our fantastic volunteers to help us fulfill our mission and vision, and welcome any dedicated individuals who are looking to donate their time and talents.

Wilsonville Public Library volunteers make a huge and immediate impact on the lives of patrons and staff. Our ongoing work includes sorting and shelving help, retrieving patron holds, straightening and shelf reading, working in the used bookstore, delivering books to patrons who need home delivery, help at special programs and other important library-related tasks.

Whether you are hoping to fill some free time, to gain new skills, or wanting to support your community, the Wilsonville Library is a great place to achieve your volunteering goals!

General Information

The Wilsonville Library welcomes volunteers age 14 and older, and complies with all BOLI hour rules. We usually reply within 1-2 weeks to questions and applications. The onboarding process involves a review of your submitted application, Library tour and information session, background check and then training. Depending on the opportunity, there may be some attire requirements (i.e. closed-toe shoes). Client and caregiver teams are welcome.  All volunteers over the age of 18 must pass a background check before volunteering.

We also welcome groups who would like to volunteer. If you’d like to volunteer with a group please fill out the Group Volunteer Application with as much detail as possible.

If you have any questions, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Angee Glastra van Loon at 503-570-1598 or by email aglastravanloon@wilsonvillelibrary.org.
