Teen Summer Reading Program
The Teen Summer Reading Program is a fun way to make reading a regular part of your summer routine. And then there are the amazing events we have just for teens (6th-12th graders). READING & SCIENCE
Pick up a Reading and/or Science Log at the library, or print one (see the attachments at the bottom of this page). Read for at least 20 minutes a day for 20 days and/or complete 10 science explorations. Return your completed logs before August 31 for prizes and entries to grand prize drawings.
WEEKLY TEEN EVENTS
Open to all incoming 6-12th grade students*, Tuesdays in June & July.
*Some events are for ages 12 and UP
June 18 / 2-4pm / Game Day: Renew a love of board games, video games, snacks & friends. Kick-off SRP with us!
June 25 / 2-4pm / *Green Teens Environmental Impact Day @ Memorial Park*: For ages 12 and UP*! Parental release form required. Repeat this annual event serving our community and world. Come for popsicles, and be ready to get dirty as we help eliminate invasive species in our local park.
July 2 / 2-4pm / Tarot Card Divining: Read the cards. Learn about the ancient divining practice of Tarot for yourself and maybe your future.
July 9 / 2-4pm / Laser Tag & Nerf Day: Renew: 2v2 Laser Tag Tournament in the Oak Room and Nerf blaster challenges in the Rose Room.
July 16 / 2-7 pm / *A Barbie Wedding Murder Mystery: Redux*: For ages 12 and UP*! Read the clues in repeat from October. Collect all the clues in this escape room style murder mystery. Solve at your own pace from 2-7pm.
July 23 / 10pm-12am / Library After Dark: Renew your books, and enjoy a chill night with friends including Jackbox games, snacks and drinks. Wander through the library after everyone else has gone home!
July 30 / 2-4pm / Party In The Park @ Murase Plaza Grove Shelter: Repeat our annual end of summer Bonus Grand Prize Drawing party, with the infamous exploding watermelon, water fight, and ice cream. One lucky attendee will go home with a summer grand prize!

TEEN ADVISORY BOARD
The Teen Advisory Board consists of a group of teens (grades 6-12) who plan and execute events and activities at the library for teens throughout the year. Consider joining us this year!
