In conjunction with the "One Book, One Coast" collaborative program

Learn about the rich and often difficult history of Japanese Americans in Oregon, beginning with the first immigrants who arrived in the late 19th century.  The presentation will cover their early struggles, the injustice of World War II incarceration, and how Japanese Americans rebuilt their lives and contributed to Oregon in the decades that followed.

Presented by Bob Yokoyoma, docent at the Japanese American Museum of Oregon.

For high school through adult
